EMMA Swanson was the runaway winner of the Peel Thunderbirds League best and fairest count on Friday night.
Swanson polled in all but three games to finish with 49 votes.
Cassie Davidson was the runner-up with 25 votes.
This year Swanson represented the Melbourne Football Club for the second time after she was selected in the inaugural AFL National Women’s Draft last year.
Other League award winners included Ebony Dowson (Coache’s Award), Jess Olson (Most Improved) and Cassie Davidson (Rising Star).
In the Reserves, Mogan Jenyns won the best and fairest with 20 votes ahead of Jess Fenton and Sam Mullane, who tied for second on 18.
Celina Seymour received the coaches award, Elisha McCarthy was judged the most improved and Jess Fenton won the rising star award. Kerrilee Brown and Courtney Hodder tied for the Youth Girls best and fairest award with 17 votes.
Kira Morrison was the runner up with 14 votes narrowly beating Kate Barlett and Sabreena Duffy on 12 votes.
Hodder also won the Rising Star award with Courtney Fabry the Most Improved winner and Ebonee Hardie the Coache’s Award recipient.
Emily Sharp took out the Best Clubman award.
Ian Morony was also awarded life membership on the night.
Morony was the founding president of the club, a position he held for five years before stepping down at the end of the 2014 season.
He played a part in developing a functional committee and football department and will continue to be involved in the club.
