DAWESVILLE Catholic Primary School students got into the spirit of book week last week by dressing up as their favourite characters.

The children took part in a parade through the school and the year six students presented a remix of the Owl City song Good Time to the school, with lyrics changed to encourage students to read more books.
Year four students used iPads to create a new storyline for the character they dressed as using the Book Creator app.
They added photos, text and sound effects to complete their books.
This year’s theme is ‘connect to reading’ and focuses on getting young people to begin developing a life-long passion for reading.
