MEADOW Springs Primary School won their second state title in two weeks after winning the state tag rugby final on Friday.
The year six and seven students travelled to South Perth to compete in the grand final against South Lake Primary School after making it through the qualifying stages undefeated.
In the grand final the sides were level two-all after full time with the game going into golden time with the first team to score the winner.
In golden time every five minutes a player is taken off until someone scores.
The sides had both removed two players before Jethro Yumange set up Hayden Wiremu to broke through and score the winning try for Meadow Springs.
Yumange who was awarded the most valuable player award for the grand final said the side was nervous heading into the golden time.
“It was nerve wracking but it was exciting that we won,” he said.
