My time at the paper has thrown up its fair share of conundrums, most recently not getting a cake for my three-year achievement.
However my time here has, I’m sure in some way, contributed to my biggest conundrum in life; balding.
Even as I sit here typing I can see hair that has given up staying on my head and fallen to my desk.
Life at the paper can be stressful even if I’m one pretty relaxed guy and I’m sure it has contributed to my departing hair.
Of course genes also come into play however I’m not convinced hair loss comes from your mum’s dad so I’m basing my future hair line on my dad’s bare cone.
No matter what is causing my hair loss I feel I have to try to hold onto it for as long as possible.
I’ve shaved my hair off before and I really don’t have an aesthetically pleasing shaped head.
There aren’t many options for keeping hair on your head that look like they may actually work so it’s no easy conundrum to solve.
I bought my brother a hair regrowth shampoo for Christmas a few years back, but as of yet he hasn’t used it.
The packet says the shampoo will cause the hair to thin before it comes back thicker and following that you have to use it for the rest of your life.
At $70 a pop, the risk is that you will be too tight to buy another tube, with the hair left in the thin stage.
However his hair seems to be thinning quicker than mine so at some point in the future he will become desperate with his head, then becoming a sort of test case before I give it a go.
At the moment all I can do is wait; the rate my brother is losing hair, it may not be for long.
The balding conundrum case remains open.
