WHEN the world is turned upside down, it’s nice to have someone upside down with you.
The Rybka Twins came to Australia’s attention during last year’s season of Australia’s Got Talent and are now happily handstanding on the edge of all things fringe.
Teagan and Sam Rybka are just one of the acts a part of the Twisted Vaudeville Circus who have just signed on to do three monthly shows at Catch22.
The contortionists will be wowing audiences at the January show, with a performance they were born to perform.
“We started acrobatics when we three because Mum was an acrobat,” Teagan said.
“From that we started to specialise in contortion which is part of acrobatics.
“Contortionists tend to be more flexible.”
Next Thursday’s show is designed especially for the restaurant and will see the human pretzels mix their acrobatic skills with dance.
It’s a performance which resulted in Kyle Sanderlands describing the pair as the best acrobatic duo he had seen and left dawn French asking if they were half human and half snake.
But the Rybka Twins are not the only act Twisted Vaudeville Circus has on offer.
Western Australia’s premiere circus cabaret show presents a blend of elaborate costumes, dark cabaret and circus acts.
Twisted Vaudeville Circus will be at Catch22 for a cabaret-style show on January 23, February 26 and March 27.
