A DRIVER, believed to be a woman, has died at the scene of a crash on the South Western Highway early Tuesday morning.
Police confirmed the white Hyundai Lantra left the road before hitting a tree at 8.15am near Page Road.
It is believed the woman fell asleep at the wheel before veering from the road.
Traffic heading north on the South Western Highway is being diverted through North Dandalup.
Traffic heading south is currently allowed through the scene, but police are in place slowing traffic.
Motorists are asked to be patient around the area as crews work to clear the scene.
Police attended the scene of the crash.
