Mandurah councillors have passed a motion to set up a new unit, designed to revitalise the city centre into a vibrant business hub.
Brought forward by Mayor Rhys Williams, the plan will see a committee made up of City of Mandurah staff collaborating with an advisory committee made up of local business owners and mangers.
The motion was passed unanimously, with many councillors commenting positively on the purposed unit that was described as “more than just astro turf and food trucks”.
Mr Williams said he had great hopes for the unit, stating the initiative could play a part in “shaping the new story of Mandurah”.
