Police have ruled a car fire, which caused an evacuation from the Mandurah Forum Shopping Centre, as not suspicious.
"It appears to be an accidental fire set by the owner of the car," a police spokesman told the Mail.
"There is no criminality from police's point of view, so they won't be investigating it further."
Many shoppers took to social media to share their concerns and images of the fire.
The Department of Emergency Services was alerted to the Toyota Sedan being engulfed in flames at 8.53am on August 4.
"A direct brigade alarm went off from the premises," a representative said.
"We sent some volunteers from Mandurah Volunteer Fire and Rescue to attend it.
"The vehicle fire had activated the alarm, and the fire hydrant was used. It was put out pretty quickly, and by 9.20am the job was closed."
