The Mandurah RoadWise Advisory Group will hold the 2018 Blessing of the Roads event on March 25, encouraging road safety ahead of the Easter break.
Blessing of the Roads was first coordinated by RoadWise in 1999.
It is a state-wide community road safety campaign held in the lead up to and during the Easter long weekend, when many people travel long distances to visit family, friends or holiday destinations.

The event recognises the dedication and efforts of those who work towards reducing road trauma in Western Australia, and the combined efforts with the community in working towards zero fatalities and injuries on our roads.
It’s also an opportunity to remember those who have died or been seriously injured in a road crash, and to drive actions which change these results into the future.
Blessing of the Roads is aligned with Towards Zero, WA’s road safety strategy (2008-2020), which follows the globally-recognised approach to achieve a long-term vision where road fatalities and serious injury is virtually eliminated.
The RoadWise group encourages community awareness and participation in road safety.
This year’s blessing will be held by Father Ian.
