Mandurah’s floating barbecue boats have been recognised as one of Australia’s best exploration tours for 2018 thanks to a tourism ranking by the country’s biggest global travel website, Flight Network.
The site ranked the Eco BBQ Boats that float around Mandurah’s estuaries and Dolphin Quays the sixth-best exploration tour heading into the year, ahead of Tasmania’s River to Rainforest and Sydney’s Hop On Hop Off experiences.
Flight Network gave the boats, which were installed after a unanimous vote by the City of Mandurah council, a glowing review.
“It’s the perfect experience for eating, drinking, and being out on the water,” the site read.
“A relaxing vacation in the most luxurious of circumstances, in the unique city of Mandurah.”
The boats allow their sailors and skippers to cook a meal while making their way around the yachts and pristine waters of Mandurah.
The 10-seater boats can be hired out at the cost of $240 for a two-hour session, while a six-seater will set you back $180.
They operate from October 1 to April 30.
