Alcoa employees have dug deep, providing $10,000 for the Quambie Park Aged Care Services to buy new furniture for its residents.
The money donated by West Australian Alcoa employees goes into PEACH - Personnel Employed at Alcoa Charity Help.
The funding donated by Alcoa PEACH will be used towards the purchase of specialised ergonomic dining and lounge furniture for aged people who have limited or no mobility.

The new furniture will give immobile residents the ability to sit up, watch television, eat at a dining table and converse with people, rather than remaining bed-ridden.
It’s hoped the technology will increase levels of safety for residents and staff because the furniture will more easily accommodate the elderly with significant health and mobility issues.
The furniture has increased levels of comfort and safety for residents and is aimed at reducing levels of pain, particularly when the resident is transferred into the furniture and when the resident is sitting in or lying on the furniture.
Quambie staff will use the furniture to create an enhanced physical environment for its residents that could directly increase the physical and mental well-being of aged people.
The Quambie Park residents, families, staff and board members thanked Alcoa employees for their kind, compassionate and generous donation.
