“Action” Jackson England is “itching to get back in the ring” and looking to keep his undefeated professional record in tact when he goes up against Queensland fighter Praising Wishuma at Thunderdome 24.
The Mandurah-based boxer has staked his claim as Western Australia’s hottest up and coming prospect with three crisp wins from his first three bouts on the pro circuit, and will look to make it four-from-four when he steps into the ring at Metro City on March 16.

“I’m feeling amazing heading into the new year – I can’t wait to get back in the ring and I’m really looking forward to putting on a show in March,” England said.
“We’ve been putting in the work in the gym but there’s nothing like testing yourself on fight night.”
Standing in the way of England’s fourth consecutive victory is Wishuma, a 5”10 fighter with a long reach and a nice set of attributes.
England said working from the outside and bringing a tenacious yet intelligent mindset to the bout would be crucial in his quest to stay perfect.
“He (Wishuma) has quite a long reach so being quick and hitting from around the outside is something we’re looking into,” he said.
“But at the end of the day I have my style and a way I like to fight, and I think I’ll stick to that for the most part.”
England’s rise up the ranks in Western Australia has been much like that fighting style: sharp and precise.
His first three wins impressed the crowds at Thunderdomes 20, 21 and 22 mightily, with fans eager to see him back on the card for the March event.
But while the up and comer said it was exciting to see people recognising his record, he stressed the importance of keeping a level head.
“It’s great for me to see people enjoying my fights, I mean that’s what we’re there for, to put on a show, right?” he said.
“But for me it’s still all about training hard and staying humble. I’ve got a lot of work to do before I get to where I want to be.”
That hard-working attitude saw England spending his Christmas day sweating out a 5km run, fulfilling a promise he made to himself to stay in peak shape over the holiday break.
Now he will look to carry that strong training regime into the ring against Wishuma.
