Lachlan Steven Boogaard-Mitchell, 18, pleaded guilty to one charge of disorderly behaviour in public when he appeared in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The court was told the footballer had got carried away while enjoying his first nightclub experience at Mandurah’s party hotspot Norma Jeans, on October 28 about 2.30am.
Boogaard-Mitchell had turned 18 in July.
The court was told Boogaard-Mitchell had a promising football career and had been offered a contract for a club over east.
The young talent had also taken part in the AFL Draft Camp Combine but was unsuccessful.
Magistrate Anne Longden fined Boogaard-Mitchell $500 and ordered him to pay court costs of $190.85.
She credited Boogaard-Mitchell for pleading guilty at the earlier opportunity.
Ms Longden also granted him a spent conviction, stating he had a clean record, was of good character and wasn’t likely to re-offend.
“Sounds like you thought it would be fun – not so fun now you’re in court,” she said.
