Are you a fan of dark folk, country and blues? Well if the answer’s yes you’re in luck because the talented Gold Coast based act Black Rabbit George will bring a brunch of unique songs to Ravenswood Hotel on December 3.
After spending some weeks earlier this year honing his skills at a flamenco school in southern Spain, guitarist Paul George has plenty to offer Mandurah crowds.
His side project Black Rabbit George, illustrates the virtuosity of his playing but also highlights his song-writing and vocals.
The December gig will be an afternoon of brilliant songwriting, deep voices and some pretty fancy playing with George joined by solo act Mossy Fogg.
Turin Robinson aka Mossy Fogg translates his red centre roots into an emotional and charismatic presence on stage.
Robinson produces folksy, hip hop, rock and roll, rhythm and blues acoustic sounds.
His voice has been described as swinging through a spectrum of Jeff Buckley-ish to Tom Waits-ish on demand.
Playing live music to audiences for over almost two decades, he boasts an impressive collection of originals and a great variety of covers that he truly makes his own.
Turin has spread his musical loving all around the place as a lone wolf, collaborating as much as he can as well as fronting various bands.
Notable performances include supporting Glenn Shorack, Wendy Matthews, Eskimo Joe and Mental As Anything.

From humble beginnings way before years started in ‘20’, Mossy Fogg has been using his siren song to pull unsuspecting musicians and the musically minded away from the mundane and into the crook of his acoustic arm.
Black Rabbit George’s music ranges from deceptively simple songs to driving beats and mesmerising tunes.
It’s been a massive year for George with festival performances across Australia including Splendour in the Grass and East Coast Blues and Roots.
George has many years experience as half of Australia’s favourite party band Tijuana Cartel.
He is joined by fiddler Phoebe Corke whose sublime playing adds layers of pathos and joy; local favourite Duncan Strachan will be doing his thing on bass while Adam Felton shows his drumming mastery.
