Live music, food, games and activities promise to entertain children, staff, parents and community members at the 2017 Carcoola Primary School fete.
This year marks the second time the school in north Pinjarra will hold a fundraising fete.
P&C president Kirsten Lyle urged the community to show their support for the school by getting behind the event called “Carcoola Festival of the Trees” on December 1.
Ms Lyle said twilight markets, cake stalls, a bounce castle and a water side would also feature on the day.
Last year the school raised more than $3000 at the family-friendly day.
Ms Lyle said the inaugural fete was well received.
“For a school of our size that was really great,” Ms Lyle said.
Funds raised at last year’s event went towards air-conditioning.
Refrigeration water fountains and a reading program will benefit from this year’s fundraising efforts.

She said as well as fundraising for important projects the fete provides great social benefits for attendees and volunteers.
“I think the community spirit is amazing,” she said.
She said it was great to see people of all ages from around the area enjoy themselves on the day.
Students have been busy preparing for the fete, with some children practicing to sing in the choir on the day, making artwork to sell on the day or setting up equipment in anticipation.
Students will also help on the day by either manning stalls or directing traffic.
She also made special mention of the efforts of two parents who would be shaving their heads at the fete to raise money for a local woman who had recently been diagnosed with cancer.
Planning for the event commenced around six months ago.
Although last year’s fete fell on a Saturday, this year the fete will be hosted on a Friday.
Ms Lyle said the school had entered a competition that could have brought popular radio hosts Hamish and Andy to their fete. To fit with the competitions dates the P&C moved the event to Friday afternoon. Unfortunately the school was unsuccessful.
If you would like to volunteer on the day please contact Ms Lyle via email at president.carcoolaPC@gmail.com.au.
