Falcon will host some of Australia's most talented musicians during a live, tribute concert to Metallica and Pearl Jam.
A stellar line-up played live at the Cobblers Tavern on Old Coast Road on Saturday, October 14.
The ticketed event will include full light and sound production.
Mandurah local and The Desert Bells frontman Ben Elphick is heading the concert.
Elphick and an all-star collaboration of Karnivool’s Jon Stockman, The Occupants/Sleep Parade’s Leigh Davies and Karnivool/The Veronicas’ Steve Judd will form the the band Enter the Betterman.
Elphick said he was excited to put on a show for the community and that he was proud to play with some internationally acclaimed musicians.
“Leigh, the bass player, and I were both massive fans of Metallica growing up,” he said.
“Metallica had a big influence on both of us.
“I wouldn’t be playing if it wasn’t for Metallica.”
Elphick said The Desert Bells had put on a similar show when they played at a mining site in northern Western Australia.
“We did a show at a mine site up north. They requested Metallica and Pearl Jam,” he said.
“[It] worked for us cause we were all familiar with the material.
“It was a big success.”
Elphick said he was thrilled to host the concert at Cobblers Tavern, as it was a venue he played some of his first gigs at.
“I’ve got a long history with Cobblers. I’ve done regular band and duo gigs there,” he said.
Elphick plays regular gigs around the south-west.
“We have to play regularly. It’s a hard industry to make a living in. We’re often broke but we love doing it,” he said.
Attendees are encouraged to wear flannelette shirts, doc martins and corduroy.
