Police have posted a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of those responsible for an arson attack on machinery at a contentious development in Golden Bay on Wednesday night.
It is believed the fire, which left $400,000 worth of damage, was started by a flare.
Investigating officers have released photos of parts of a flare and a can they believe are linked with the blaze.
Arson squad detectives are continuing their investigation into the incident.
