Staff and students from Greenfields Primary school got colourful Friday afternoon to raise funds.
The run, organised by the school’s faculty, was attended by parents and is aimed at raising funds for a ski trip next year.
Teacher Karen Schilling said the idea was one both students and parents were behind.
“It’s just a fun little event that the kids can really get into, and it gives them something to aim for,” she said.
“It’s something they can all get behind – the kids and their families – as a school. It’s good because it gets them motivated.”
School colour run events are actually growing in popularity around the country, with a wide range of incentives, prizes and outcomes for students.
