A driver is lucky to have escaped with his life after being trapped in his truck on Alcoa Road on Friday morning.

Emergency workers from Mandurah and Pinjarra had to cut the man free using hydraulic equipment after the vehicle collided with a tree before 10am.
The truck was travelling towards South West Highway when the accident happened.
The man was taken to Peel Health Campus but it is understood his injuries are not life threatening.
There was major damage to the cabin of the truck.
