Sunday saw the racing of the State Criterium Championships at Tech Park at Bentley, with a number of Peel District Cycling Club members hitting the track in the junior ranks.
Ashton Sime continued his dominance of the under 13 boys this season, winning the title in emphatic fashion.
He wasn’t the only Peel rider to top their field, with Jade Haines taking out a win in the under 19s women.
Matthew Connan was a close second in the under 15 men, while Oliver Bleddyn finish second and Jordan Dawson third in the under 17 men.
In the under 19s, Peel’s Tyler Lindorff was second and Conor Leahy third, while the under 17s girls saw Dharlia Haines finish third.
Bikeweek featured heavily in Peel’s cycling calendar over the weekend, with the PDCC running a skills training session at the Kwinana Motorplex on Sunday.
Former Britsih road race champion, Olympian and Tour De France rider Bob Addy took riders through a number of drills to improve their cornering, riding in a bunch and sprinting.
