Stakes are high for Peel region’s fashion and racing lovers as the Peel Regional Heat draws close.
Fashionistas across the Peel region are invited to dress in their best dresses and fascinators and come down to the Pinjarra Race Club’s Ladies Day on February 11 in order to win their spot in the 2017 WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field contest.
The WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field is a state-wide racing fashion competition open to fashion lovers across Western Australia.
Contestants for the cup are selected in nine regional heats held at major country race meetings across WA, including the Peel Regional Heat.
This year’s Peel Regional Heat will be judged by WA Country Cups ambassador Holly Young and 2016 WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field winner Sarah McEwan.
“I’m super excited to be heading to Pinjarra for the Peel Regional Heat,” Ms Young said.
“Pinjarra always puts on a fantastic day and I can’t wait to see what the ladies have to offer in the Fashions on the Field.”
The winner of the Peel Regional Heat will compete against other regional finalists at the WA Country Cups Fashions on the Field finals at the Ascot Racecourse on December 2 for a chance to win a trip for two to London to see the Royal Ascot.
The winner will also receive $10,000 as well as a voucher for West Australian handbag and accessory brand Jessica Bratich.
Ms McEwan encouraged Peel Regional Heat participants to feel confident about themselves and their outfit selection before hitting the stage.
“Styling needs to be to your own personal taste and should be executed with courage and confidence,” Ms McEwan said.
