One year after the small town of Yarloop was gutted by fire life goes on.
The grass has grown in gardens and verges, destroyed buildings have been demolished, and reticulation has been installed in and parks and gardens.
However, the footprint of fires is still visible in town, with homes and their luscious gardens neighbouring sandpits, concrete slabs, and the burnt metal which remains from the old heritage workshops.
