An upturned catamaran found drifting off the Mandurah coast on Sunday morning has prompted a search by local water police.
The vessel was discovered about 11 nautical miles off Bouvard.
At this stage police say there are no fears for anyone’s safety, with the upturned boat believed to be one involved in an on-water incident last week which saw a man rescued off San Remo.
