Sometime between 5.30pm on Friday and 7.30am on Saturday an offender smashed the front door glass panels to gain entry to the store.
“A security guard gave us a phone call early in the morning, and when I got here five minutes later, the front door had been kicked in,” the store manager said.
She said security cameras showed that he went straight for the tills, which did not hold any cash.
“He left empty-handed and got spooked by the alarm,” she said.
“We’ve opened the doors now, we’re trading, but its a whole morning that we’ve missed out on.”
The store was operating again by midday on Saturday.
Mandurah Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
