Hundreds of long-distance swimmers made waves at Town Beach as Mandurah hosted round three of the WA Open Water Swim series on Sunday.
Youngsters from under 11-years-old joined over 50s in the water as competitors battled it out in a 500 metre, 1.25 kilometre, 2.5 kilometre and five kilometre swims.
In the longest dash, it was William Rollo who crossed the finish line first in one hour, two minutes and 50.4 seconds.
Hometown hero Rebekah Weller was the first female to finish the race with the time of one hour, three minutes and 20.4 seconds.
The 2.5km swim saw under 15s participant Flynn Mason finish first, with under 18s Rahul Jegatheva and Jason Martin closely following.
Under 18s swimmer Jack Beattie took out a win in the 1.25km trial in 17 minutes, 45.2 seconds. Chloe Gwynn (open 18-34) and Jessica Cake (under 15s) finished second and third.
Rajindra Madigasekara placed first in the 500m after 10 minutes, 19.1 seconds in the water while Annie Wilson and Aakashi Ranaweera rounded out the podium.
