Two of Mandurah’s favourite performers – and world-renowned musicians in their own right – Billy Neal and Lez Karski will perform at Murphy’s Irish Pub on Sunday October 9.
The two Australian blues legends – Karski an ex-member of Bondi Cigars, Neal a much-sought after saxaphonist both here and in Europe – are looking forward to getting together and sharing stories.
Neal recently returned from his second European tour, while promoting his fantastic fourth album Keep A Light On.
He is heading to Chicago in November for the All Souls Festival, but beforehand will join Karski on stage.
“Legendary Australian guitarist and singer Lez Karski is playing the Sydney Blues Festival and the Mullum Music Festival at the end of October with the original line up of the Hippos and Bondi Cigars, so its a real treat to bring him to Mandurah again,” Neal said.
The pair will be joined by Paul Myers on Bass and Tony King on drums; with King currently taking on the whole of the Bibbulmun Track, the band coerced him to take a break and play one set, before being taken back out to Northcliffe.
“Don’t worry, we’ll get him showered before the gig,” Neal said.
The concert is free, but make sure to call up Murphy’s on 9535 2666 to book a table, as it will fill up fast.
