Two motorcycles stolen from Kickstart Motorcycle Training on Tuesday night are still missing, with the business and police asking for assistance in identifying the theft.
The motorcycles, a Honda 250cc and a 700cc, were stolen from Kickstart owner Mervyn Hill’s residence late on Tuesday night.
Mr Hill said the thieves allegedly used a stolen car to take the trailer used to transport the bikes.
“The police think they’ve stolen a car down the street, and they’ve run out of fuel 50 metres down the road,” Mr Hill said.
“They pulled up with the car, hitched it onto my trailer and drove off.
“The doors were all open, and the shed door, so we know they were thorough.”
Mr Hill said police believe another vehicle was eventually used to transport the bikes.
He said the bikes were an integral part of his business.
“Without the bikes, obviously I can’t train people, so it’s halted my business.”
Anyone with information on the stolen bikes is asked to call CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
