Several community forums will be held across Murray and Waroona to encourage communities to be more inclusive for older people.
The forums will be held between May 25 and June 2 in several senior centres across both shires.
The main topics of discussion will include outdoor spaces and buildings, transportation, housing, social participation, respect and social inclusion, volunteering and more.
In addition, the Shire of Murray is organising an online survey to help identify age friendly priority projects within the Shire.
- May 25 from 2pm to 5pm at Pinjarra Senior Citizens Centre.
- May 26 from 2pm to 5pm at Waroona Community Resource Centre.
- May 28 from 9am to 12pm at Preston Beach Community Hall.
- May 31 from 2pm to 5pm at Yunderup Sport and Recreation Club.
- June 1 from 4pm to 6pm at St John Ambulance Training Room, Dwellingup.
- June 2 from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Coolup Community Hall.
Any interested people are asked to RSVP four days prior to the event to their Shire.
