OVER 90 matches were held at the South Mandurah Tennis Club over Monday and Tuesday for the club’s 29th annual junior tennis tournament.
Perfect weather greeted the 38 eager tennis juniors who took to the court, with both singles and doubles categories being played from under 10s to under 16s.
Luke Vaughan was the star of the under 10s boys, taking out a win in the singles and pairing with Dylan Cleary to win the doubles, while Byron Nottle took out the under 12s boy’s singles division.
Danielle Booker stood out in the girls divisions, winning the under 14s singles and teaming with Louisa Holle to come second in the doubles.
Haruka Smyth won the under 16s girls singles.
In the mixed doubles, Zachary Hogg and Jamie Sewell took out the under 10s title, while Dylan Cleary and Miya Cleary won the under 12s final.
The South Mandurah Tennis Club is running a hotshots program starting on Wednesday, April 27.
