THE husband of missing Parmelia woman Iveta Mitchell faced Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with trespass.
Chad Jeffery Mitchell pleaded guilty to the November 9 offence which happened on Lanyon Street at 3am.
The court heard Mitchell attended the address with a baseball bat to collect an overdue debt.
He was asked to leave and police were called.
Mitchell returned to the property later the same day before being arrested and taken to Mandurah police station.
He denied threatening the occupants of the house despite telling the court he was there to claim money owed to a friend of his.
It was not Mitchell’s first brush with the law.
His home was searched after his wife was reported missing in 2010, although he has always maintained he had no involvement in her disappearance.
He has previously been fined for possession of stolen property and has faced court on burglary and stealing charges.
On Tuesday he was fined $750 and ordered to pay $88.50 in court costs.
