SAN Churro Mandurah will become one of the first chocolate cafés in Australia to commit to purchasing cocoa under the new Fairtrade Cocoa Program.
To celebrate the launch, the café is encouraging their customers to share an image to Instagram of why they #choosefair in their everyday lives.
The winning photo will receive a year’s supply of San Churro’s Fairtrade chocolate.
Mandurah San Churro manager Clarisa Revelo said it had been a long process to become Fairtrade.
“It’s exciting we can help build awareness and promote Fairtrade to the Mandurah community,” she said.
“The famous cocoa used to make San Churro’s desserts won’t change in taste or cost, as San Churro is absorbing the added costs to demonstrate its commitment.”
