CAREER Enterprise Centre secondary teacher, Fiona Gardner, was announced the Education Support Teacher of the Year for her Art Therapy Program at the Western Australian Education Support Principals and Administrators Association (WAESPAA) awards.
WAESPAA represents the interests of the education support sector in all schools.
Ms Gardner was awarded for completing a self-funded masters in art therapy which developed a tailored program for students at the Career Enterprise Centre.
The program was designed to empower students to self-regulate and manage their emotions.
