WITH only three weeks until the Margaret River Gourmet Escape, organisers are full steam ahead with preparation.
This year will see a range of new events including new exhibitors at the Audi Gourmet Village.
There will be 150 artisan producers and wineries as well as a host of superstar chefs presenting different workshops over November 21 and 22.
New Gourmet Village attractions include WA’s Signature Dish finale with Matt Preston, Consuming Conversations presented by Foxtel’s LifeStyle Food Channel, Fermenting Workshops and Margaret River Icon tastings.
The Gourmet Village also features 16 pop-up restaurants by some of the Margaret River region and WA’s best dining establishments and producers including Leeuwin Estate Winery, Xanadu Wines, Hayshed Hill, Swings Taphouse, Studio Gallery and Bistro and El Rio.
After feedback from the 2014 event, organisers said changed had been made so the everyone’s experienced would improve in 2015.
Changes include more restaurants with additional dishes on offer, streamlined order and collection points, more staff at the box office, more GEM sellers and staggered bus arrivals.
There are still tickets available for some of the satellite events including Feast in the Forest, Devil’s Lair Long Lunch, Gourmet Beach BBQ and Sundown Soiree at Fraser Gallop Estate.
