UPDATE: Police have charged a 19-year-old man in relation to an investigation into the death of a 85-year-old old woman in Bateman.
The man has been charged with aggravated burglary and stealing a car and will appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on September 4.
Police recovered the car of Iris Jones, 85, that went missing from her Bateman home and whose death is being treated as suspicious.
Her 2005 Hyundai Getz was found in a car park in Blackwood Avenue, Hamilton Hill, on Thursday.
Police were called to an Electra Street property on Wednesday afternoon, where they discovered Ms Jones body.
The circumstances surrounding her death are not yet clear, police said.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tom Mills of the Major Crime Squad said police had yet to confirm how the woman died.
"There were no signs the house had been ransacked," he said.
Police are calling for a friend to come forward who went with Mrs Jones to the Crown Casino on Sunday.
"We'd also like to speak with anybody who saw Mrs Jones after she was last seen outside her home on Monday morning," Sgt Mills said.
The house remains taped off as police forensic officers search the garden.
Mrs Jones' dog escaped the house as her body was discovered but has been found and is at the Melville pound.
