THE Mandurah man charged in relation to the discovery of a body in the carport of a Boundary Road unit on Saturday morning made a brief appearance in a Perth court on Sunday morning.
Dean Kowitz, 47, made no application for bail and will reappear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on Friday via videolink.
Mr Kowitz has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
He was arrested just hours after police descended on the Dudley Park unit block where a man was found dead about 7am.
Police said the charge against Mr Kowitz could be upgraded following the results of a post mortem examination.
