THE top four sides all got a win on the weekend as the ladder is beginning to take shape after six rounds.
Pinjarra flexed their muscles with a 23.15 (153) to 2.1 (13) win over Mandurah, South Mandurah continued their good form defeating Centrals 17.23 (153) to 2.1 (13), Halls Head bounced back after a loss last week with a 13.6 (94) to 5.5 (35) win over Rockingham, and Waroona had a 13.10 (106) to 8.7 (55) victory over Baldivis.
On Saturday night, reigning premiers Pinjarra won their fourth game in a row following a 140-point win over seventh-placed Mandurah at Sir Ross McLarty Oval.
Braddon Kazakoff continued his strong goal-kicking form booting six goals while Shane Norris booted five.
Robert Beswick was named best on ground, while Mitchell Green, David McKay and Dwayne Beach also starred.
Both of Mandurah’s goals came courtesy of Timothy Read while Daniel Cransberg and Darren Young were named best for the Mustangs on a tough day.
Pinjarra dominated throughout the whole game with Mandurah kicking just one goal to six at half-time.
Pinjarra did most of the damage in the second half, booting seven goals in the third term and 10.1 in the final quarter.
South Mandurah was led by competition-leading goal kicker Samuel Hart who booted five goals in the win over Centrals at Falcon Oval.
Adam Corunna was named best for the Falcons while Andrew Haydon and Aaron Zucconi also starred.
Callum Marshall was the star for Centrals with Matthew Wray, Ayden Guest and Craig McGarry all booting two goals. Hart now has 20 goals for the season.
South Mandurah came out firing, kicking 14 scoring shots to three in the first quarter but only six of them were goals.
The Falcons were never troubled throughout the game with Centrals only managing to win the third quarter kicking four goals to 2.10.
Halls Head sit comfortably on top of the ladder following their win over Rockingham at Harcourts Mandurah Stadium.
The Lightning was led by Travis Justins and former Fremantle Docker Clayton Collard while Timothy Bruce and Jayson Brown also impressed.
Steven Kenny was the only multiple goal-kicker for the Rams with Peter McGennisken and Andrew Walsh showing promise in a tough day for Rockingham.
Halls Head led from the start, but could have won by more after kicking an inaccurate 13.16.
Baldivis still remain entrenched in the top five despite a 50-point loss to Waroona at Parnell Street on Sunday.
Baldivis started the game well with four straight goals and trailed by just six points at the main break.
However, Waroona came out firing in the second half kicking nine goals to two.
After Hart, the leading goal scorer of the competition are Demon Alan Wilson, who has 17; Lightning’s’ Jordan Adamson-Holes, 16; Kazakoff 15; and the Mustangs’ Jay Walton has 12.
In the Reserves, Pinjarra had an easy win over Mandurah, South Mandurah flogged Centrals, Halls Head defeated Rockingham and Baldivis bucked the trend of the weekend and defeated Waroona.
In the Colts, Pinjarra just beat Mandurah, South Mandurah took care of Centrals, Waroona had an easy win and Rockingham beat Halls Head in a low-scoring affair.
Next weekend, Mandurah host Waroona, Pinjarra play Halls Head, Rockingham are up against South Mandurah and Centrals meet Baldivis.
