THE Peel Football League (PFL) held its season launch on Monday night at Bendigo Bank Stadium and for the first time included the newly formed Peel Netball League (PNL).
The league will run in conjunction to the football with two teams representingeach of the eight football clubs.
Hailing from the South West Football League newly appoint PFL chairman Barry Butterworth said he was looking forward to seeing how the netball competition would go in its first season.
“It will be great for the league,” he said. “Anything that will involve more of the community is great.”

The season starts on April 17 at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
The night also included Valued Volunteer awards with each club awarding an individual who had worked tirelessly for the betterment of their club.
The award winners were Mick McCann (Baldivis), Ryan Starkey (Centrals), Vheri Hodgson (Halls Head), Lynn Strother (Mandurah), James McGougan (Pinjarra), Luke Warburton (Rockingham), Josh Luttrell (South Mandurah) and Ken Landwehr (Waroona).
Successful Hall of Fame nominees for 2015 Ken Landwehr, Bill Lawler and Troy Wilson were also announced.
The PFL season kicks off on April 11 with Pinjarra taking on Waroona.
