A new composite image of missing mentally ill killer Enoch Samuel Walsh has been released by WA Police in their bid to find him.
The statewide search for Mr Walsh, also known by Samuel Mark Walsh and Enoch Samuel Wright, has entered its fifth day after he failed to return to the Claremont psychiatric hostel which had been his home for the past four years.
Police have appealed to Mr Walsh to notify the closest station so he can be returned to care.
Mr Walsh killed his mother Patricia during a psychotic episode in Kalgoorlie in 2005. He was acquitted of murder in 2007 after Supreme Court Justice Geoffrey Miller ruled he was not criminally responsible for his actions.
He was granted supervised release by the Mentally Impaired Accused Review Board in 2008 after he spent three years at a secure psychiatric hospital on a mandatory custody order.
Mr Walsh was able to leave Graylands Hospital and live independently in supervised accommodation at Romily House.
Police believe Mr Walsh left Romily House between 8.30am and 9am on Sunday, October 5, despite initial reports by Romily House to the board suggesting he had left at 6pm to go to a church service.
He is believed to be driving a 1998 silver Hyundai Excel hatchback, registration 1AFY124 and he may be around Kalgoorlie or the Goldfields.
Police have warned the public not to approach Mr Walsh who, they said, was unpredictable. Anyone with information is urged to call police on 131 444.
