THE students at Assumption Catholic Primary School are headed towards having strong and healthy bones after the 20th National Healthy Bones Action Week.
The week encouraged young people to improve their bone health to prevent osteoporosis later in life.
The students painted a life-size fibreglass cow earlier in the year as part of Dairy Australia’s Picasso Cows program.
The program included learning about how dairy products are made and the importance of having calcium in a balanced diet.
The year six red class helped to design the pattern for the cow, called Barbie Q to match the theme Unbeatable Bones and will perform a song they created for the school later this week.
