THE Peel Thunderbirds League team suffered a heavy defeat against Swan Districts on Sunday.
The Thunderbirds were no match for the second-placed Swans going down by 78 points, 15.8 (98) to 3.2 (20).
The Thunderbirds were unable to control Swans’ forward Chelsea Randall as she went on to kick seven goals.
The Thunderbirds are now in fourth place on the ladder two wins behind East Fremantle in third.
The Thunderbird Reserves could only manage one point as they were thrashed by Mount Lawley.
Mount Lawley controlled the game from the first bounce as they ran-out 122-point winners, 18.15 (123) to 0.1 (1).
The Thunderbirds are currently last on the ladder.
The Peel Thunderbirds Youth team had a bye on the weekend.
The team currently sit on top of the table ahead of their clash with the bottom-placed Coastal Titans on Sunday at Bendigo Bank Stadium at 10.30am.
The Thunderbirds League and Reserves sides also play the Coastal Titans at home on Sunday with League at 2pm and Reserves at noon.
