Two men will face driving charges after two police chases in Perth on Thursday night, one through Belmont and Victoria Park and the other through Balga.
Police first spotted a man driving an allegedly stolen Holden Maloo ute on Alexander Road in Belmont about 7pm. Police chased the vehicle until they lost sight of it, police spokeswoman Susan Usher said.
Then at 9.30pm, police again spotted the ute at the intersection of Teddington Street and Albany Highway in Victoria Park, with police chasing the vehicle to Manchester Street where the man got out of the car and attempted to run away.
He was caught by police on Berwick Street and charged with driving, stealing and drug charges and is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday.
In Balga, police spotted an Aprilia 125cc motorcycle with no registration plated being driven north along Walderton Avenue.
The driver did not stop and attempted to escape capture, cutting through park land on Princess Road, before he hit the curb on Beach Road and lost control.
The 24-year-old Girrawheen man was charged with three driving offences and is scheduled to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on August 19.
