TWO Halls Head Football Club players will travel to Adelaide this weekend to take on the South Australian Community Football League.
John Bennell and Brody Culpitt were selected in the New Holland Western Australian Country Football League State Team after impressing in the Landmark Championships for the Peel Cavaliers last weekend.
Bennell kicked 15 goals for the Cavaliers across five games including five in the grand final win.
Culpitt was named one of the best players in every game he played.
State assistant coach and selector Shane Darmody said he was confident the selectors had put together a strong side for the interstate match-up.
“All players selected were really enthusiastic about the game and proud to be representing their state,” he said.
“We owe South Australia a couple, so the boys are looking forward to getting over there and giving it a crack.”
The WACFL versus SACFL game will be played as a curtain raiser to the Port Adelaide v Adelaide SANFL match on July 26 at Alberton Oval in Adelaide with bounce down at 11.15am local time.
