A MAN wanted for a string of alleged aggravated burglaries is still on the run after Bunbury police searched streets and backyards through Dalyellup for more than eight hours yesterday.
Residents watched on as police raided several homes and swept the streets with police dog Geoffrey, but by 5pm yesterday officers were returning to the station without making an arrest.
Police have advised that the man is wanted for alleged burglaries and is not considered a danger to the public.
The man has been described as aboriginal, wearing a white shirt and black pants with a crew-cut and bare feet.

4.32: As Bunbury police return to the station after almost a full day man-hunt for a suspect through Dalyellup, families living in the suburb have spoken to the Bunbury Mail.
Mother-of-four Jess Turner said she felt unsafe and on edge knowing a suspected criminal was evading police in her neighbourhood.
"It's quite worrying for this to be happening so close to home," Ms Turner said.
"I'm sure the police are using all available resources to try and apprehend the individual as soon as possible.
"Hopefully he will be detained before it becomes dark and in the mean time I hope that all locals of Dalyellup stay vigilant and lock up well."
Darlene Ann told the Bunbury Mail she was disappointed that there was no lock-down put in place at her children's school during the hunt.
"I would of preferred to have picked my kids up and brought them home," she said.
"We have no idea if this man is armed or how the police officer was injured - pretty scary."
3.50: The Bunbury Mail can confirm police have not taken the suspect into custody after an all-day search through Dalyellup.

3.18: Police have downsized the search for a suspect in Dalyellup, which started this morning.
Several police cars have returned to Bunbury and a police spokesperson is expected to address media later today.
Police could not confirm whether or not they had a suspect in custody.

2:30pm: Police have described the person of interest they are searching for in Dalyellup as aboriginal and wearing a white top and black pants.
The man escaped police custody last night and again this morning. Air searches were conducted to try and find him. One officer was injured in the act of trying to arrest him as he escaped.
1:45pm: Police on a manhunt in Dalyellup have unsuccessfully raided a house on Trent Way in their search.
Bunbury Mail reporters on the scene said around 20 police officers and police dog Geoffrey searched the house but were unable to locate the suspect.
Dalyellup residents have also reported that local schools in the area, including Ocean Forest Lutheran College, have been locked down to protect students.
1:15pm: A police detective at the scene of a Dalyellup manhunt has told media that a police officer has been injured in the search.
The detective said police had cornered the suspect but he escaped police custody by jumping a five metre fence on the property. The police officer was injured in this incident.
There have been no details of the officer's injuries released so far.
12:45pm: Bunbury Police are searching streets and backyards throughout Dalyellup for a person of interest.
The Bunbury Mail can confirm officers are on the hunt for a dark-skinned man wearing black pants and a white shirt.
Police have spread out on streets including Chisholm Road, Norton Promenade and Dalyellup Boulevard.
Police dog Geoffrey has also been deployed in the search.
The man is believed to be jumping into backyards to avoid police.
Residents are warned to be on alert and to contact police with any information on 9722 2111.
A detective told media at the scene that police had the criminal cornered at a property.
He escaped police custody by jumping at five-metre fence.
