THE Mandurah Magic men’s team will not play in the semi-finals after losing two of their three quarter-final games against the East Perth Eagles on the weekend.
Despite claiming the first victory 99-91 of their finals journey on August 4, the Magic failed to capitalise at the Morley Sport and Recreation Centre last Friday night taking a three-point loss in the second game 93-90 and a 15-point loss 94-79 on Saturday.
Their second match for the quarter-final was taken to extra time after the Magic and Eagles both capped off on 82 points.
But it was the Eagles who swooped in on the victory scoring another 11 points to bring the tally one-all for a place in the semi-finals.
The Eagles continued their run of luck with their second win over the Magic and will enter the semi-finals this Saturday against the Wanneroo Wolves.
Magic juggernaut Taylor Mullenax scored 46 points with 18 rebounds while Thomas Remmerswaal accumulated 44 points with 15 rebounds.
