TODAY marks a year since the tragic death of Mandurah man Tauri Litchfield, and his family are still waiting for answers.
The 28-year-old sailmaker was walking home from central Mandurah on March 17 last year when he was allegedly set upon by a group of up to nine youths on Pinjarra Road.
A murder trial which wrapped up earlier this month heard the prosecution describe Mr Litchfield as having been “chased to death”.
Five boys charged with Mr Litchfield’s murder are currently in custody waiting to hear their fate during sentencing which is expected on March 28.
Community outrage over the tragedy hit fever pitch during the trial with social media users extending support to Mr Litchfield’s family.
Now, after a year of heartache, a judgement is imminent.
The Mandurah Mail will be there to cover the sentencing hearing.
