On top of the live musical acts, Crab Fest attendees can watch the Pulse Circus as they perform each day on the aerial rig next to the Mirvac Main Stage.
For the little ones, Australia’s number one children character Peppa Pig will be in town following a sold-out Australian tour.
Peppa Pig will be joined by her brother George and the well-known Constable Care and Fat Cat.
A variety show, Spotlite on Youth will also be held showcasing the best of the local under 18 talent on offer.
This year Transpacific Cleanaway will proudly present the fireworks display to be held over the waters of Mandjar Bay on Saturday night.
The fireworks display begins at 8.30pm.
For the safety and wellbeing of other festival goers, the City of Mandurah is advising against bringing dogs to this event.
The smoke-free event also has something on offer for those just wanting to check out the best and local hand-crafted homewares and clothing products.
There will be more than 45 stalls with something to suit every taste and age.
The markets will be held at the Smart Street Mall and at the Mandjar Markets in Mandjar Square.
The Peel Chamber of Commerce will take a Shop Local campaign into this weekend’s 2014 Mandurah Crab Fest.
The Peel Chamber will bring their Think Local Shop Local campaign the festival with local bottled water sales to benefit local charities.
“So far, our shop window decal and poster campaign has been enthusiastically supported by the Peel’s business community,” Peel Chamber manager Paula Johnstone said.
“We are inundated with requests from businesses wanting to display them because they encourage the community to shop local.”
Reality television duo the ‘Sugar Sisters’ Katie and Lucy from Big Brother will be on hand to pass around local water for local charities at the Peel Chamber’s Crab Fest stalls.
The stalls will be at both the north and south ends of Crab Fest.
The Good Guys cooking stage will be centrally located and feature this year’s My Kitchen Rules contestants Chloe and Kelly.
Chloe, a former Mandurah student, and her friend Kelly will cook up a storm alongside a host of Channel Seven television and sporting personalities at the foreshore kitchen.
Food demonstrations will be held throughout the festival weekend at 10am, 11.25am, 12.50pm, 1.50pm, 3.15pm and 4.10pm each day.
Supported by the local The Good Guys, Paul Turnor and his team said the cooking stage was sure to be alive with good food and great company.
“If you are a food enthusiast, like us, make sure you visit The Good Guys cooking stage where some of our team will be helping create delicious food and coffee,” Mr Turnor said.
“We will also have some of our great Jamie Oliver products on display too, so locals know how to recreate these delicious meals at home.”
More than 40 gourmet and continental food stalls will be available including dishes such as crab fidana, blue swimmer, prawn, squid and chorizo paella, pad thai noodle with char-grilled king prawn and crab, chocolate-covered frozen fruits and homemade fudge to name a few.
New for 2014 is the Wines of the Region section at Mandjar Square.
Crab Fest goers can sample the best wines and refreshing ciders from the Peel and South West region.
