Readers and Writers Festival
January 13 - 16
The festival is back this week with a group of talented WA authors set to share their stories and love of writing with the community. Crime writing, biographies, psychological thrillers and romance will all feature during the popular event, which is being held at Seashells Resort. Bookings are required as places are limited for each session. To book a place call City of Mandurah Libraries on 9550 3650.
Floorball family fun
January 15
Floorball is a fast paced, exciting and safe type of indoor hockey played on foot with lightweight sticks and plastic ball. Anyone regardless of age, physical ability or gender can easily become a player and join in the fun. Come to see and try yourself how easy and quick it is to pick this sport up. No bookings required, just come to Halls Head Recreation Centre for 10am. Equipment provided.
Tennis 4 All

Have you ever wanted to try tennis or haven't played for a while? South Mandurah Tennis Club and the Tennis 4 All program are hosting three come and try mornings in January. These days are for all abilities and ages. The sessions will run from 10.30am to 2pm and is completely free. Song Lab workshop

Learn how to get started in the music industry with the Chop Street music production team. Bring along your instrument if you have one and register via email at youth@mandurah.wa.gov.au This Song Lab workshop will extend into an after-school program in Term 1, 2022. If you are also interested in signing up for the program please let the team know when you register via email. The workshop is free and runs from 1pm to 4pm at Billy Dower Youth Centre.
Rollin Youth skateboard workshop

Learn to skate, work on your skate skills or just come along for the ride at this free skateboard workshop by Rollin' Youth. If you would like to attend this event please register as numbers are limited. The Youth team from the Billy Dower Youth Centre will be having a free sausage sizzle with picnic blankets, giant games and other activities for the whole family. The event runs from 3pm to 5pm. Walking tour
January 14, 15, 16
Discover Mandurah's waterways on this free guided walking tour. Departing from the Mandurah Visitor Centre, this 1.5 hour tour will take you on a journey around Mandjar Bay and the Eastern Foreshore. The tour provides an overview of Mandurah and its history and discovers places of interest along the way. The tour concludes at the Eastern Foreshore.
