I refer to the article 'Needed shops on the way' (Mail, Nov 4). It is my opinion that your article is both false and misleading as an existing supermarket already services the Dawesville and surrounding areas. This is the excellent IGA located on Dawesville Road. There is also a liquor store next to the IGA. These businesses adequately serve the area so to suggest that any further shops are badly needed is totally false. The centre where the IGA is located already has empty shops so to build new stores is a waste of resources and will only lead to more empty stores. For MP Lisa Munday to support your false claims just shows that she does not know what is going on in her area.

As a child I walked with my classmates to our town hall to have a drop of the Salk Polio vaccine on my tongue. This deadly disease was killing and crippling children. Time proved the vaccine worked. As a parent I took my children to get their measles, mumps and whooping cough injections. I did this because I wanted to protect them from these diseases. Why? Because I loved them. Time proved that the vaccines worked. As a grandparent I had my COVID shots. Why? Because I love my grandchildren and all the other children, some of whom are too young to be vaccinated at this time. I wanted to protect them as much as I can from this dreadful virus.
The sharp drop of infections in NSW is proof that the rate of infection has slowed in pace with the number vaccinated. The vaccine is working. So please get vaccinated for the love of others. God's commandment is to 'Love others as we love yourselves.'

In this modern era one of the most difficult jobs is being a police officer. Sadly they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Then all of a sudden thank you to the terrible circumstances of a beautiful little girl being allegedly kidnapped and kept captive the media pay them a huge tribute. A huge thank you to the work of our police but also the many volunteers who trampled through hundreds of acres of snake country looking for her. This little princess captured not only all our hearts when found but the whole world stage. We will no doubt hear more of this case over the next few months but it's wonderful to know she is alive and well and hopefully being so young this will all fade as a memory. God bless you Cleo and go on to a wonderful life.

Our Premier has once again gone rogue.
Someone who pulls his strings please "tell him he is dreaming".
Again, it is unrealistic to keep WA separated from the rest of Australia. If this is what he wants he should push for secession. Alternatively stop changing the goal posts for political gain, but then again he is a politician and a lawyer.
