When I first moved to Mandurah three years ago I remember the real estate agents calling Mandurah "the Gold Coast of WA".
I come from Queensland and my first impression of that was "it certainly has a long way to go".
On seeing the Transform Mandurah proposal being put forth over the next decade, I was astounded.
It would surpass the Gold Coast if everything goes to plan.
Hats off for the Lord Mayor and his team.

I received the following text from a Surprise Visitor telling me of the speech she was going to make at the Climate Change Meeting.
This was her text:
'Good morning, all you wanna be famous people. Firstly - just think about all the emissions you created just getting here.
'You Earthlings are certainly giving me some concern with your emissions but they are miniscule compared to what I can dish up when I feel like it. Think flood, fire, earthquakes, volcanoes, tornados and more.
'Secondly - if you are really serious about helping me you must all go back to living in the bush - if you can find some.
'No cars, smart phones aeroplanes, manufactured items or electricity should be used and grow your own food: find your own water.
'Whatever bright idea you come up with won't make an ounce of difference because I will always have the last say with All Things Climate.' Signed: Mother Nature

'Jabberwocky' was written in 1871 by Lewis Carroll and referred to as a 'nonsense poem' at the time.
I propose that the time has now arrived when we may understand it with perfect clarity.

I recently realised I am gluten intolerant.
Everybody would do well to scan over what's happening with their bodies and skin. One third of people have some sort of intolerance and would do best on a plant based gluten free diet.
It's time we started calling for an equality menu because actually making plant based and gluten free options is not that hard and it gives everybody equal choice...people will realise they feel better.
Some people have personal relationships with animals - so to constantly be faced with the products of animal torture slavery and slaughter houses, it's a bit like a horror movie to some people and I think I can understand that.
There is a Facebook page called WA Farms Exposed and it shines light on some RSPCA-approved food production factories.
