Anti-Poverty Week
October 21
The Vinnies Financial Counsellor Liza Chatterton is highlighting the depth of poverty in Mandurah with a stand outside the Vinnies Support Centre at 23 Davey Street. In the Peel Region every sixth child is living in poverty. So many families live in despair because they cannot see a way forward because they pay high rent, have utility bills and medical expenses plus education costs. The event will provide advice from a trained financial advisor and give you information on what kind of help is available. So come along and talk if you want, or just enjoy the free cup of soup and a roll from 10am to 2pm.
